Current/Ongoing Projects



Canadian County District 1 has just completed stabilizing the subgrade and applying a double bituminous surface treatment on the following project(s):

Gregory Road from Northwest Highway to Britton Road
Manning Road from Hefner Road to 122nd Street 
Reformatory Road from 248th Street (Waterloo Road) to 234th Street 
Joint project with OKC on Sara Road from 164th Street to 150th Street

Additionally, District 1 workforces have overlayed chip-seal in certain areas on 234th Street west of Highway 81 and on 6th Street in or near the town of Okarche.

Canadian County District 1 will stabilize the subgrade and contract (through a competitive bid process) to put an asphalt road surface on the following project(s): 

234th Street from Highway 81 to Stroh Avenue
The base has been stabilized with a cement slurry material. We will go back over the road surface just before the contractor arrives to asphalt the road. The bid to lay asphalt for this project was awarded to B&S Construction.
District 1 has been awarded a rural economic grant in the amount of $55,000.00 to assist on this project.


Canadian County District 1 through RRY, LLC has reconstructed the bridge on 122nd Street east of Banner Road.
District 1 has received a material reimbursement in the amount of $25,000.00 from our Circuit Engineering District to help offset the cost of the project.

Bridge on Waterloo Road just west of County Line Road. near Piedmont, OK: Canadian County District 1 and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation have contracted engineering services to reconstruct the bridge on Waterloo Road over the tributary to Wolf Creek in the northeast corner of the county. The environmental studies have been completed for this project, and a programming resolution and utility relocation agreements have been filed. District 1 is expecting the project to be let in July 2019.
