Burn Ban in effect for Canadian County

1. Outdoor grilling allowed for gas grilling and charcoal grills having a hood covering cooking area.
2. Cutting and welding operations may continue on a case by case basis but must be approved prior to the operation permitted as applicable by local fire authorities having jurisdiction.
3. Special exemption for burning vegetative debris may be considered under the following conditions.
a. weather forecast and conditions becoming more favorable
b. request must be applied for a minimum of 48 hours in advance
c. a detailed burn plan must accompany the request
d. adequate fire suppression must be arranged and approved by permit with the
local fire authority under whose jurisdiction the location of the burn falls.
